Here’s three demo’s leftover from my recording sessions with Elliott Seymour’s band, My Aunt Joan, that I produced back in 2003. I did these three cuts, ‘Police3′ went on to ‘Delusions of Grandeur’, the other two remained instrumental. Shout out to the Seymour clan & all former Tababa members! Recorded at the Mint Vault in Fort Worth, TX with MAGIX audio software.
This mixtape had a few cuts I contributed missing from the original, most of these are my partner in LEAR, artist friend Jared Rose. but here’s Slate ‘3′…
This is from a set of remixes I did in 2005. Appeared on a few mixtapes here and there… abstract hip-hop, ‘On & On’, a la Pat Metheny’s ‘Capricorn’. Amerie’s ‘One Thing’ with Brazil 66 & Joao Gilberto… My (AVANTHARD) remixtape…

Marco & I did this one at the top of the year. I did the track one morning, he wrote the cut the same day! Hope you dig MarcoPolo-It’sOK
This one was recorded at QBC Studios with my boy Brian Keck at the helm. I was once again on that 90’s feel, sounds a bit like Digable Planets to me. Shout out to DeJong & everyone at QBC!!! TL-Hey!!!
My boy Marco Polo put me on to some cats from Jesolo, Italy. Matt Pawana (not photograped, DJ/Producer), Don Vinnie (also not in photos/rapper) & BlindMinded (aka Giorgio Cadamuro, DJ/Producer/Engineer) from the UK, to do a session. Marco gave us his butter r&b swaggered vocals, while for I rhymed for a change, paying hommage to Slick Rick, Biggie, and a few southern rappers in the industry to date. Another cat from New Orleans, Wyld, laid down some fire 16’s!
‘Let Me Holla’ was born.

I did remixes for artists like Lil’ Wayne, Kanye West, and Funkytown’s own Tea Cakes! Contact info@philfordfeel.com to receive a true download of this mixtape. Graphic art created by myself.
Here’s round two of some of the craziest material I’ve done yet. Crunchy samples & dirty beats, for a listen that is so unmistakably 90’s hip-hop. Diggin’ in the crates again with…
Enjoy!
Slate is a moniker I used for mixtapes in format of 1:00 to 1:30 seconds per each cut, which roughly works out to be two 8 bar sections, & a full verse of 16 bars. Rappers found this format useful in cyphers or freestyle battles, as there could be thirty or more tracks per mixtape. Also, the utilization of breaks and dirty, or atonal samples are reminscent of the 90’s era hip-hop. Sounds like DJ Cam, DJ Krush, Mr. Scruff, others…
Enjoy!
